About Me

I first caught the travel bug when I lived and studied abroad in Granada, Spain back in 2007. Over the span of 6 months, I had been to twelve different countries and learned to live off of all that I carried in a single backpack. Let me tell you, that´s one way to learn how to travel light--force yourself to carry all of your baggage by yourself, throughout all of your travels.

I'm young (in my early twenties), without a great source of cashflow, but I have learned that you don´t necessarily need a ton of money to go places. I do my utmost to take advantage of any travel opportunities that come my way. Whether it involves Couchsurfing with new friends, visiting and staying with old friends, exploring a place I have never been to, I can always come up with a travel plan that is not always as concrete as it should be, but as every traveler knows--it always works out in the end.

This blog is an attempt at documenting my current travels, as well as recalling past adventures. I have crazy stories of being mugged in Rome, getting completely lost in Southern Italy, walking around Granada in my socks, eating tarantula in Cambodia, and more. Many of these stories are unrecorded, and all are definitely unpublished, so it would be great to have them recorded somewhere.  To check out my personal photography website, please check out Suzi's Shots.

My European travels also introduced me to the most amazing social networking site ever: Couchsurfing.org You may have heard of it through friends or even in the news, but if you haven´t experienced the amazingness that is Couchsurfing, I encourage you to visit the website and read the philosophy. It just might change your life as much as it has changed mine.  Click here to check out My Couchsurfing Page

With that, I introduce you to my blog! Cheers!
